Commercial Hedge Cutting & Trimming

Agricultural / Equestrian Hedge Cutting & Trimming
This is where we started many many years ago and I’d say it’s fair to say we know what our customers want from us here. During the trimming season from September through to March we provide reliable service, producing quality and complete hedge trimming for our customers in agricultural and equestrian industries.
We currently run two large capacity Shelbourne Reynolds hedge trimmers on New Holland tractors – a combination we have found very reliable. Our team have years of experience in this field (excuse the pun) and are able to quickly and efficiently cut miles of hedge whilst maintaining superb quality workmanship.
Hedge Removal
If you need a hedge removed then we’ve got you covered. We currently run three excavators or varying sizes which make short work of the job at hand. With our experienced operators, hedges of all sizes can be removed where needed and the further removal of consequent waste can also be arranged. As hedge removal can be detrimental to wildlife and it’s surroundings, we are always conscious of the impact we are having on the environment. A full survey will be conducted prior to any works of this nature to ensure all works are as environmentally friendly as possible.
Hedge Laying
A neatly laid hedge is one of the great sights of the British countryside. Neatly twisted bindings and straight natural stakes make for a real satisfying sight.
We can cater for all your hedge laying requirements. We can also help with Capital Grants for hedge laying which can really help with the cost! A large part of hedge laying is often the work left behind with the excess material – we offer chipping or controlled burning of materials providing there is adequate space.
Hedge Revival/Reduction
If a hedge is left to its own devices, it can soon become out of control. Once out of control it is very difficult to wrestle back into shape! If the hedge in question has not gone too far then often we are able to knock the hedge back to size and shape with conventional hedge trimming tools and machinery. If however the hedge has gone too far and now includes thick branches and trunks then a rather more radical approach is needed.
We run two sizes of excavators that operate tree shears which can quickly cut a hedgerow back down to size! These pieces of machinery are incredibly impressive and are quite something to behold as they can cut through trees and bushes of up to 350mm in diameter! Furthermore we are able to easily deal with the consequential excess materials either by means of chipping or controlled burning.
Hedge Planting
As you will gather – we love hedges! And they of course all started somewhere! We are able to provide for all of your hedge planting needs. When it comes to hedge planting – the job at hand is not just as simple as it may seem. If you are not careful, you can soon waste a lot of money if the job is not done correctly and ongoing care is not given to the newly planted hedge plants.
Experience here is key and the necessary steps must be taken in order to successfully instate a new hedge. Hedge infill and repair is also something we do a lot of. Whether your hedge has failed to grow in the past or has seen some damage to a section, we can successfully reinstate your hedge and get it back to its former glory.
